The Future of Healthcare : A Hope
“It really pains when our dearest one suffer from some ailments”.
This is indeed true for anyone. Most of us fail to take care of our own health but would be more concerned about the health of our dearest ones. I am too one among them. While thinking about this in deep, I wish to foresee the Health care sector after 100 years. In my vision, I see as I have articulated in this article. It is not imperative that we would evolve in such a way, but I ‘HOPE’ and wish to evolve in this way.
Health Care Sector Today
To posit a few words about the health care sector today, we must be ashamed to say that
“It [Healthcare] is one of the most corrupted sector in this Planet”.
The underlying reason behind is that the migration of mentality from ‘Service to Business’. Most of the Doctors[certainly not everyone] who pledge to serve the community, digress from their vow and align on making money.
I have also seen Doctors who treat patients today. None of them [at least 99%] never feel the pulse of the patients rather, prescribe a list of diagnostic procedures and only then they tend to prescribe a medication [Ofcourse a chemical composition that would normalize the situation] based on the diagnosis.
There is hardly a doctor who solace the patient with their words and motivate their patient to overcome the ailments.
It is imperative that whence gone for an ailments, mandatory diagnosis which are mostly done by machines are invoked.
Also, a saddening fact that In certain countries,
“The quality of medicine is not uniformly distributed. Which means, the King and the very common man must be provided with the same quality of medication”.
But today,
The medication you receive is directly proportional to the wealth you possess. Such a shame !!
Let’s see 100 years from now.
In my opinion, from 100 years from now, there won’t be any Hospitals in existence
Yes, You heard it right. I see a lot of positivity prevailing which will drive us to a place where there is no hospitals and at least a very lesser one. Trust me when I say this. We may wonder how this would happen, but it will. How ?
We are bestowed with advanced AI [Artificial Intelligence] tools and there are several machines learning amidst of us.
Predictive Diagnosis is one of the major area in Health care which is growing quiet exponentially.
Major pharmaceuticals are suppressing this which is another area of concentration. :P
I believe, in another 100 years, predictive technologies would have evolved to their pinnacle. Hence, most of the disease would be predicted very before their occurrence.
This predictive diagnosis would be free and available to everyone in this planet.
How do we cure the disease : The Herbal Dictionary
Now, once we have diagnosed and analyzed the disease, how would we cure them? This is an intriguing questions. When we say, there would not be any Hospitals and Doctors, then who would cure the disease ?
I see : In every house, there would be a Herbal Dictionary which would contain all the description of herbs available in our planet and the health and healing benefits of them in detail. I strongly feel there are people who are getting ready this Herbal Dictionary. This dictionary would have the ancient wisdom on health and herbs.
I believe not any herbs in this planet is of no use. Every herb in this planet is capable of curing some ailments of Human or other Beings.
Have you every witnessed a Dog eats certain herbs when he feels stomach upset. My simba does !!
The backyard Medical Shop
I see every home would have a backyard garden where they would grow the basic herbs which would treat certain diseases. This is a mandate for every home. People tend to allocate a space for this while planning their house.
So, it is like the predictive diagnosis informs the people about the possibility of certain ailments and people start to take up some herbs which are an alternative to today’s Mo(a)dern medicine.
Also, I see Gratitude would be given to all the ancient herbal doctors who have given such a wisdom to treat various disases. This Gratidude would heal the people.
The Medical Education @ School
Having protesting for sex- education in schools today, future schools would have medical education as a mandate subject where the students would learn about the pulse variation and the diagnosis methods and immediate treatments for emergency. But I guess, with the evolved machines, there would be no emergencies other than some accidents.
Every students would be taught to treat certain disease with the Herbal Dictionary.
Furthermore, students would no longer use Junk foods and fast foods. I see that generation completely relying on plant based diet which would increase their longitivity and health [physically and mentally].
How we are going to push ourselves there ? The responsibility
I am sure the transition from today’s health care scenarios to the future one is a long leap and we have to take responsible steps towards there.
The first thing we are to do is ‘Educate’ our children about the threats of ‘Mo(a)dern medicine’ and their implications. Also lets teach them about using Herbal Medicine which replaces the chemicals.
Also, we must encourage our students to involve in Research and Development in the field of Predictive Diagnosis with AI and ML. This would bring several technologies to predict various diseases.
Also, let us learn to eat responsibly and organically.
Take Away
Never ask a question, if it is possible. The graph is down as of now. But, mathematically any graph which has declined should incline upward. Hence there is a HOPE to reach our anticipated place.
Let us together take small steps thus making a huge leap !!
