The 3:33 Syndrome : My Experience

It was a fine afternoon. I was just relaxing on my Bed with a bliss after submitting my Ph.D Thesis and was imagining the letters ‘Dr’ in front of my Name. It was whence, I got a call from my friend who knows my personal habits a bit. He was asking,

“Did you watch the movie 3:33” for which I replied ‘NO’.

I questioned, “Why, what’s the matter?”. He just informed; “You should watch it by the way, You Devil”. He laughed and did converse on other topics. Okay. Somewhere I thought, what’s there in the movie 3:33. Anyways, I thought I shall watch it.

However, I thought I shall write my affinity with 3:33 and then watch the movie. So that, I can relate certain things.

So, for you readers, This story was written before I watched the movie.

The ‘3’ and Me

Everyone has a secret affinity towards some numbers. I was in my 20’s whence I realised that I have an attraction towards 3. In extension 333, 6,666, 9,999. These numbers fascinated me a loot. I always preferred to use them in my daily life.

It was also strange, I always note these numbers in my daily life very often.

Hence wherever possible I started using the numbers 3, 333 and mostly 666.

I always have a feeling : I am not sure, I selected 3 or the number itself selected me.

Few of my Weird Habits pertaining to ‘3’

I tag these habits to be weird because, most of my friends who knew about my habits enunciate “You are weird”

1. Waking up @ 3:33 am.

Believe me or not, for almost three years, I wake up @ 3:33 am in the morning. I don’t know why, but waking @ that specified time gives me a joy. It is like,

If I wake up @ 3:33 am, I feel I have won the day already.

Also, It is like, I will become an animal when I don’t wake up @ 3:33 am. Probably, only my wife knows it.

I would do anything to wake up at that time. May be there are days, when I slept late the previous night. During those days, I at least wake up and then lay down. I just have only one alarm in my mobile. No Snooze, nothing. It is like some force wake me up during that time.

It is definitely my personal ‘Honeymoon Time’

There are other routines, I follow. But waking up @ 3:33 gives my utmost pleasure and Joy.

2. Rent rooms with number ‘3'

It is quite fascinating, few people have the habit of selecting numbers for the room they rent while travelling. I am one of them. When ever I travel out station, I prefer to stay in rooms ‘3’, ‘333’, or ‘201' which are in association with ‘3’. Below are few snaps of my rooms I preferred to stay when I was in out station.

Also, I prefer a vehicle with Registration number ‘3333' (Unfortunately, I have not blessed with it hitherto)

3. Working @ 3:33

It would be interesting to know that most of my Research articles , 99% of my PhD thesis were written during that Divine Time. Interestingly any works, articulation, research which I consider potentially important is achieved during that time.

What’s behind my Love for ‘3’.

This is a question, most of my friends ask for which I have just a simple answer, “I was born on 3rd”. Not satisfying with this answer though, my love with ‘3’ have elevated exponentially during last three years.

When I work on computer, Most of my files are saved with file name ‘333’, ‘666’. My cohorts and friends knew this.

A year back, I too thought, I would do a research on numbers. Specifically pertaining to ‘3’ where I found, most of the religions from Greek, Pagens, Christians, Hindus and others gave significant importance to 3. One of the decedent of 3, 6 is posited as demonic number in Christianity, for which is portrayed as “The Anti Christ Number — 666”.

Whatsoever, I love the number ‘3’ and would prefer to be with ‘3’ in whatever I do.

My Reasoning for my ‘Weird Habits’ pertaining to ‘3’

I definitely have no reasons for my affinity to ‘3’. But i very strongly feel, it is not me but some other force driving my towards ‘3’, ‘6’ and ‘9’.

I have always felt this. Every morning when I wake up @3:33 am, “Yeah, I have done it. Thanks for waking me”.

Is it a Paranormal Activity ?

I am not sure about this, but whatsoever, I am happy about it. The ‘3’ meets me almost every day and almost every hour in many forms. Whenever, I see ‘3’ I feel ‘ahhhh’.

There were times when my wife shows up the mobile 3:33 (Time) to see a smile in me. Yes it definitely makes me smile.

I don’t care if it is a paranormal activity or whatsoever, I am happy with ‘3’ and it makes me Happier.

There are more habits other than I mentioned above. If they were relevant to the movie, I shall share them too in another story. More of which I cannot write as of now. If written, you would tag me ‘Mentally Affected’.

PS: I have not watched the movie 3:33 while writing this story. I shall write more about this and its relevance to me in another story.
