Dear Vedhaa,

Happy 2nd birthday! It’s hard to believe that two years have passed since you came into this world and changed our lives forever.

It seems like only yesterday that we held you for the first time, and now you are a curious, active, and growing toddler.

Watching you grow and develop has been one of the greatest joys of our lives. From your first steps to your first words, every milestone has been a celebration. You are becoming more independent, but you still love to cuddle and be held. Your laughter fills our hearts with joy, and your smile lights up our world.

As you continue to grow and explore the world around you, we want you to know that we will always be here for you. We will support you, guide you, and love you unconditionally, no matter what. We will be your cheerleaders, your confidantes, and your biggest fans.

You are blessed to have a wonderful mother who loves you deeply and will always be there to support you. Also, your Grand Parents loves you more. Your Uncle & Aunt (!Abi Mama & !Beni Athai) is keen to teach you everything. Your family also adores you and cherishes every moment with you.

As you continue to grow and learn, there are a few things we want to share with you:

  1. Always be kind: Treat others the way you want to be treated. Show kindness and respect to everyone you meet, and you will make the world a better place.
  2. Keep learning: Never stop exploring and discovering new things. Embrace new experiences and challenges, and never be afraid to ask questions or seek help.
  3. Follow your dreams: You can be anything you want to be if you work hard and believe in yourself. Follow your passions and pursue your dreams with determination and perseverance.
  4. Love yourself: You are unique and special just the way you are. Embrace your individuality and love yourself for who you are.
  5. Be grateful: Always remember to count your blessings and appreciate the good things in your life. Gratitude will bring you happiness and contentment.
  6. Read More: Reading is one of the greatest pleasures in life. It opens up new worlds and allows you to learn about different people, places, and things. As you grow older, make it a habit to read regularly. It will expand your knowledge and imagination, and it will help you become a better person.
  7. Travel More: Traveling is another way to broaden your horizons and learn about different cultures and lifestyles (I just learned this after my 30s). Take every opportunity to explore new places, near and far. It will help you appreciate the diversity of the world and make you more empathetic and understanding towards people from different backgrounds.
  8. Love All Creatures: As you grow up, always remember to treat all creatures with kindness and compassion. Whether it’s a tiny ant or a giant elephant, every living being deserves respect and care. Learn to appreciate the beauty of nature and the role it plays in our lives. Be a responsible steward of the earth and do your part to preserve it for future generations.

We are so proud of the person you are becoming. You are kind, loving, and curious. You have a zest for life that is contagious, and you bring so much joy to everyone around you.

I don’t know when you will read this letter, but I believe the bible verse “Cast your bread upon the waters, for after many days you will find it again” (Ecclesiastes 11:1) holds a valuable lesson.

As you grow up and navigate through life, remember that the kindness and love you give to others will always come back to you in some form or another. Even if you don’t see the immediate effects of your actions, trust that they will have a positive impact on the world and those around you.

Always strive to be a light in the world and spread love wherever you go. Your actions can make a difference, no matter how small they may seem at the time. Remember to live with purpose, kindness, and compassion, and you will leave a positive mark on the world.

Once again, happy 2nd birthday, Vedhaa L Laudis. We love you more than words can express, and we are excited to see all the amazing things you will accomplish in your life.

On this special day, we want to celebrate you and all the wonderful things you bring into our lives. May this year be filled with love, laughter, and lots of fun adventures.

Love always,

Abisha Robinson & LLL
