We are what we eat, says an ancient adage. Traditionally, the ingestion of food is given utmost importance and reverence. But modernisation and other aspects, have changed our prospects towards our food. However, there is a peril that the modern food and food habits may take us to a ‘Hell in Heaven’.

Our Food comes From ?

There was an era where most homes had a ‘Kitchen Garden’ where at least few vegetables of our requirement would be grown and harvested. Unfortunately, globalisation and urbanisation have reduced the sizes our houses and we don’t have a suffice place where we could grow few vegetables and fruits.

At least, a culture of roof top gardening is trending which has to be definitely appreciated.

So, as of today, 80–90 % of our foods are grown from an unknown farmer. We are not aware of how our foods are made and how they are harvested. It is a grieving fact that most of our foods are ingested with pesticides of higher order.

We eat foods where even few flies can’t even thrive or Survive.

So we are not sure of the place of birth of our food which is a saddening fact.

I encourage you to grow some vegges and few fruits on your own and ensure not to add any sorts of fertilisers.

The Mental Media — A Corporate Monster

Media has to be applauded for several historic events. Importantly, several changes in people and even in governments were made because of the influence of the Media. However, I must inform you with utmost sadness, this media is taking what we ingest in an astray.

Most branded foods we intake are spending millions of dollars for promotion and advertising.

Marketing is everything; we can even convince a person to death with marketing.

Dedicated research teams with modern analytical tools spend days for analysing how to infuse their product with us. May be it is not necessary for us, however we are forced to consume it.

Our foods are eaten by our eyes before we put it in our mouth.

The tempting advertisements and catchy slogans mislead us towards the grave.

I shall enunciate a true story, how this mental media plays;

We all are aware of ‘That Particular Channel’. Most 90’s kids have grown watching interesting programs in it. And whilst in childhood, our friends who watch that particular channel were considered as the Witty one. ‘That Particular Channel’ put forth several discoveries and the facts of science. However, in recent days, I can see ‘That Particular Channel’ contemplating on shows pertaining to Food and Making Food.

The Media tames us. A word of Caution; Stop listening to those Mental Media

Eating Sensibly

In a world surrounded by threats, the question is how do we survive ? Yes, it is hardly possibly to survive in a world where runs behind mouth watering food products. Here is where the human nature of ‘Rationalising’ Comes into picture. It is for us and our generations; we must eat sensibly.

Eat Something that when you do so, Your body rejoice.

Factually, we are what we eat and utmost importance and reverence has to be given to the food we eat.

Let us not fall into the trap of mouth watering food.

No kitchen is better than our Mom’s…

Take a step.. Eat for Hunger and Not for taste. For, food is a Fuel not a pleasure.

Let us choose our Food…..
